By using the synonyms list, you can make a word have several equivalents.
Separate multiple synonym groups with a carriage return (enter-key).
NOTE: If a
synonym group list is very long, it may carry over to the next line. This
is normal. As long as you do not enter a carriage return (enter-key), the
words will still belong to the same synonym group.
Here is an example of how synonym groups work:
In the above example, mark,
markie and marcus are all equivalent. If a
visitor typed in one of those words at the search box, it would also find matches for the other
words on the same line.
If someone typed in jas,
it would also match documents that contain jay or jason. The same goes for the other terms in the same group. |
